Young Artists Welcomed at the ArtReach Kids Art Zone

The 21st Annual Golden Fine Arts Festival has partnered with ArtReach of Denver to give young art enthusiasts the opportunity to create their own artwork while visiting the Festival.

This year, the ArtReach Kids Art Zone will boast Monster Murals as well as a selection of individualized age appropriate art projects.  Open during Festival hours, the Kids Art Zone enables children of all ages to create their own masterpieces after being inspired by the Festival’s artists.  Please note that children must be accompanied by a parent.

Established in 1974, ArtReach provides access to experience arts and culture for people of all ages who struggle with physical, mental and behavioral or severe economic challenges through its Community Tickets Program, Arts Express and Camp ArtReach. ArtReach programs annually serve more than 60,000 individuals and families in our community. The organization reaches disadvantaged people through maintaining over 350 innovative, long-term partnerships between diverse art (local art agencies and businesses) and community agencies (social service agencies, public housing, long-term care facilities, parks and recreation departments, and schools). ArtReach is funded through local and state government and foundation grants, corporations, membership fees, and individuals. For more information visit www.artreachdenver.org

The Golden Fine Arts Festival runs from 10 am to 5pm Saturday, August 20 and Sunday, August 21 and is located in historic downtown Golden on 11th Street just west of Washington Avenue between Arapahoe and Maple Streets.  For more information, visit, the Festival website at www.GoldenFineArtsFestival.org or Golden’s visitor web site at www.2HourVacation.com.
